This course ..
Jinsin is an unusual medium which many are yet to explore in millinery. It comes in an abundance of colours, plain, two toned and striped. Once you have mastered this material you will love exploring the sculptural possibilities. In this class you will be taught how to cut and prepare Jinsin and will create a fabulous standalone headpiece.
Alison will show you how to manipulate this material into a work of art. You will learn the possibilities of combining two separate pieces into a showstopper hat. Alison will also teach you how to make a Jinsin circle which is a stunning base to adorn with flowers or even a butterfly. Jinsin comes in many colours and can also be painted which can give a wonderful effect. You will gain confidence working with Jinsin and will fall in love with its sculptural flair. Jinsin can be used alone as a statement headpiece or added to a small base for a complete hat.
