Leanne is a California born, London milliner, blogger, and inventor of the durable Hattin’ Around Hat Case. She is active in the London millinery community, hosts the annual Milliner’s Round Table discussion as well as teaches workshops privately, annually at London Hat Week, and internationally.

In this online, interactive, live training, you will explore how to create rolled edges on sinamay, pinokpok, organdy and organza. In addition, we will create a rouleaux with and without wire.
These versatile skills offer endless trimming options for elaborate racing headwear as well as quick head pieces.
Learn to shape a leaf and petal, which when combined will make a dynamic trimming element. Tips and coaching while you learn and practice skills on a variety of materials.
Rolled edges offer an efficient way to use up some of the pieces of material that are so hard to throw away. They also are a good way to get a perfect colour match of the trim to your hat.
Rouleaux is rolling the whole length into a long cylindrical shape that can be made with wire for shaped swirls and without wire for a softer shape. This is a great work around when you desire the curled quill look but do not want to use feathers.
