About the Workshop
Sinamay is one of the main mediums used in millinery. It comes in an abundance of colours and styles. Once you have mastered this material the sky’s the limit. In this class you will be taught how to cut and mould sinamay into seamless loops to create a stunning standalone headpiece. Alison will show you how to combine colours which gives a wonderful effect and helps with colour matching outfits. You will also learn some very handy feather techniques including shaping, cutting and attaching. You will learn a simple inexpensive way to make your own base for your headpieces. You will gain confidence working with sinamay and will have mastered a great skill which can be used alone or for trimming and binding your hats.
