6mm (1/4inch) wide polyester/plastic sew-through boning is available in black or white.
In millinery, boning is mainly used to add structure and shape to hats. That could be support for the crown, stabilisation of the brim or extra support for a large or heavy trim. Boning also works wonderfully as support for loops and bows when making fascinators.
Sew-through boning may be sewn to itself or to your fabric or felt, and may be gently shaped with heat from a warm iron.
